IMPHAL, Nov 27: The Special Court NIA Manipur has remanded Sapermeina bridge blast accused LS Yosef Chongloi, self-styled finance secretary of UKNA to 5 days NIA custody.
The Sapermeina bridge bomb blast occurred on March 24, 2024.
Initially, the case was registered with the Gamnom Sapermeina police station and the NIA took over the case on May 14, 2024.
After the NIA took over the case, LS Yosef Chongloi was arrested in Guwahati in another case.
Presently lodged in Guwahati Jail, LS Yosef Chongloi (35) is son of (L) Letkholal Chongloi of Boljang village, Churachandpur.
He was produced before the NIA Court today virtually.
The NIA Court remanded LS Yosef Chongloi to NIA custody for 5 days starting tomorrow (November 28).
LS Yosef Chongloi, self-styled finance secretary of UKNA, is allegedly involved in sabotage activities covering Manipur and the bordering area of Assam, said the NIA.
The UKNA is not a SoO group.
