Pambei-led UNLF condoles

IMPHAL, Nov 26: The Pambei-led UNLF has condoled the demise of PREPAK Chairman Heikrujam Ibotombi alias Ngamdairen Khuman alias Oja Inao alias Oja Macha and paid revolutionary salute to the late revolutionary leader.
Oja Macha started working for the liberation movement since the early days, said a press release issued by the outfit’s Media Coordinator Charairongba Thokchom.
In the course of discharging a National duty, Oja Macha was imprisoned in East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) in 1969. He was extradited to India and imprisoned till 1972.
After facing several challenges and enduring severe hardships, Oja Macha started working for the Nation and the party with renewed vigour, it said. He was a revolutionary leader who continuously inspired the people and guided the revolutionary fighters.
The demise of Oja Macha is a big loss not only for PREPAK but also for the liberation movements of the entire WESEA. Oja Macha always kept his words, respected democratic values and listened to all opinions and views.
He had the capability to mobilise people and took appropriate decisions, the outfit said. The outfit also expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and friends.
It also prayed that the mortal remains of the departed revolutionary leader may rest in peace on the soil of the motherland.
