Manipur prevail 19-6 over CISCI for second straight win in U-14 girls NSG Handball

IMPHAL, Nov 26 : Manipur stretched their winning run in the Group E league stage of the 68th National School Games Handball for U-14 girls with a commanding 19-6 win over CISCI for two of two wins today.
Having beaten Punjab 13-5 in the opening match yesterday in Chhattisgarh, the State girls continued their fine form to seal the huge win. Lairenlakpam Nomika took centrestage yet again by topscoring 8 goals in this match while N Alia and N Pitalika Chanu contributed 4 goals apiece.
Yanglem Trivenia (2 goals) and N Selina (1 goal) also added three goals to State's tally today to set up the 19-6 win against CISCI.
Yesterday, Lairenlakpam Nomika netted 7 goals alone to earn Manipur a 13-5 win as Ningombam Selina Devi (3 goals), Ningombam Pitalika (2 goals) and Trivenia Yanglem (1) contributed 6 goals together.
