U-19 NSG SepaktakrawManipur top Group A, qualify for quarterfinals

IMPHAL, Nov 26 : Manipur finished atop Group A league competition to qualify for the quarterfinals of the 68th National School Games Sepaktakraw for U-19 girls being underway in Kohima, Nagaland.
Manipur completed the league stage sweep today by defeating Rajasthan 15-9, 15-8 to consolidate themselves on top of the group table and set up a quarterfinal date with Group C runners up.
The group C comprises teams representing Odisha, Vidya Bharathi, Gujarat and Telangana.
Earlier yesterday, the State girls pulled off a 15-5, 15-6 win over Delhi for the first win before getting better of Nagaland 15-8, 15-8 in the second match to extend their winning run to two games.
Konjengbam Poni, Khuraijam Devika, Yumnam Malemnganbi, Mayengbam Lataluxmi and Chanam Jenifer are in the State team.
As many as 17 teams clubbed into four groups are competing in the league cum knock-out tournament that will culminate tomorrow.
