Lanchenba strikes two gold at U-14 NSG Swimming

IMPHAL, Nov 26 : Laitonjam Lachenba bagged two gold medals as Leishanthem Bishorjit settled for a bronze medal at the 68th National School Games Swimming for U-14 boys being held in Rajkot, Gujarat.
Laitonjam Lanchenba clinched a gold medal in the 200 m individual medley competition with a time of 2:21.08 (2 minutes 21.08 seconds) before securing his second gold medal in the 200 m butterfly stroke with a time of 2:21.04.
The double gold medallist Lanchenba is the son of L Kanta and L Soniya of Singjamei Thokchom Leikai.
Leishangthem Bishorjit in the meantime won the bronze medal in the 100 m backstroke competition with a time of 1:18.9. Bishorjit is the son of L Sukesh and L Netajini of Wangkhei Thangjam Leikai.
