78th Santosh Trophy Manipur to take on Services in Final Round opener

IMPHAL, Nov 26 : Former champions and last editions' semi-finalists, Manipur will face off against Services on December 14 in the opening match of the Final Round of the 78th National Football Championship for Santosh Trophy to be hosted by Telangana in Hyderabad.
Manipur are drawn alongside Services, West Bengal, hosts Telangana, Jammu and Kashmir and Rajasthan in Group A of the final round while Group B consists of Goa, winners of Group B (yet to be decided), Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Odisha and Meghalaya. Top four teams from the two groups will advance to the quarterfinals before the winners advance to the semi-finals and the final.
Manipur will play Rajasthan in the second group stage match on November 16 before taking on Jammu and Kashmir on November 18, West Bengal on November 21 and Telangana on November 23.
All the group stage matches are likely to be held at Deccan Arena and the exact kick-off timings are yet to be announced.
The quarterfinal matches are scheduled to be held on December 26 and 27 while the semi-final matches are scheduled to be held on December 29 before the title clash on December 31.
