Manipur beat Punjab in NSG Handball for U-14 girls

IMPHAL, Nov 25 : Manipur kicked off their campaign in the 68th National School Games Handball for U-14 girls on a winning note as they defeated Punjab 13-5 in a lopsided Group E encounter.
The competition began today in Chhattisgarh with the participation of 29 teams clustered in 8 groups. Manipur is drawn in Group E alongside CBSE, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab.
Lairenlakpam Nomika led the scoring for Manipur in this one-sided match adding 7 goals alone as Ningombam Selina Devi (3 goals), Ningombam Pitalika (2 goals) and Trivenia Yanglem (1) contributed 6 goals together.
