U-19 National School Games Sepaktakraw Manipur inch closer to quarterfinals with two straight victories

IMPHAL, Nov 25 : Manipur U-19 girls are on the brink of entering quarterfinals in the National School Games Sepaktakraw hosted by Directorate of Youth Resources and Sports, Government of Nagaland with two of two league stage wins on the opening day.
State eves who are clubbed alongside Nagaland, Delhi and Rajasthan in Group A, opened their campaign with a 15-5, 15-6 win over Delhi this morning and extended their winning run to two games by defeating hosts Nagaland 15-8, 15-8 in the second group stage match staged this afternoon.
Manipur will play Rajasthan in the concluding group match tomorrow morning from 9.50 am.
Konjengbam Poni, Khuraijam Devika, Yumnam Malemnganbi, Mayengbam Lataluxmi and Chanam Jenifer are representing Manipur at the competition underway in Kohima.
The competition will run till November 27. As many as 17 teams clubbed into four groups are competing in the league cum knock-out tournament.
