INDIA Bloc to protest at Delhi

IMPHAL, Nov 25: INDIA Bloc Manipur held a meeting today at Congress Bhavan here and decided to stage a National level sit-in-protest demonstration at New Delhi during the winter session of Parliament as an extra Parliamentary movement.
A letter was sent in this regard to the National leadership of the constituent parties of INDIA Bloc today to organise the sit–in–demonstration on the ongoing Manipur issue, conveyed a press release issued by INDIA Bloc Manipur convenor Kshetrimayum Santa.  
The meeting held at Congress Bhavan was attended by representatives of the constituent parties viz. AAP, AIFB, AITC, CPI, CPI(M), INC, NCP(SP), RSP, SS(UBT).
The meeting discussed the present ongoing developments in Manipur from May 3, 2023 to the inhuman killing of children, women and aged persons including an 8 months old infant at Jiribam by the so called militant groups in the name of attack and counter attack.
The meeting unanimously condemned the killing of children, women and aged persons including an 8 months old infant at Jiribam and demanded to take up necessary measures to arrest the culprits and punish them according to the relevant laws.
The meeting also expressed that the reimposition of AFSPA in six police stations is against the interest of the people of Manipur.
The meeting demanded that the black Law should be withdrawn from the areas under the six police stations.
The meeting also condemned the sereis of attacks on the properties and residences of MLAs in the name of exerting pressure on them in the wake of the Jiribam killing and demanded an enquiry.
