IMPHAL, Nov 24 : The Manipur Wrestling Association (MWA) has announced the names of athletes who will be representing Manipur at the Senior National Wrestling Championship-2024 due to be held from December 6 to 8 at Bengaluru, Karnataka.
The athletes who made it to the State squad are as follows.
Women's Freestyle : Yumlembam Minakshi (50 kg), Linthoi (53 kg), Manista Ningombam (57 kg), and Jenista Ningombam (62 kg).
Men's Freestyle : Waikhom Jatishor (57 kg), N Sunil (61 kg), Saikhom Yaikhomba (65 kg), Salam Yaiphaba (70 kg), and Akoijam Niteshwor (74 kg).
Greco-Roman : Laishram Saiyon (55 kg), Kh Loyangamba (63 kg), M Taibanganba (67 kg), Y Victor (72 kg), N Jameson (77 kg) and N Tyson (82 kg).
MWA further informed the selected players to report to N Sanayaima, M Somorendro and Ch Anita along with their parents on November 25 for further coaching beginning at Indoor Stadium, Khuman Lampak.
