SOREPA mourns

IMPHAL, Nov 23: The SOREPA has mourned the demise of PREPAK Chairman Heikrujam Ibotombi Khuman alias Ngamdairel Khuman alias Oja Inao.
The outfit has also paid revolutionary salute to the late revolutionary leader.
According to a press release issued by the outfit’s publicity and organisation secretary MC Yaifabi, Ibotombi Khuman started working for the cause of Kangleipak with dedication since a very young age.
He was one of the key revolutionary leaders who launched an armed struggle to liberate Manipur and protect its identity, it said.
He also suffered physical and mental torture repeatedly at the hands of the alien rule.
Ibotombi Khuman was a leader who paved a path for all Meira Paibi activists, students and intellectuals to come together and work collectively, SOREPA said.
The demise of Ibotombi Khuman is a big loss for the people’s movements as well as the revolutionary movement, it said. It then called upon all the people to pay befitting tributes to the late revolutionary leader by adopting a united stand and taking the revolutionary movement forward collectively as desired by the late leader.
