The Manipur Amateur Kho-Kho Association (MAKKA) has condoled the sudden demise of its former treasurer Moirangthem Norendro on November 20 due to a heart ailment at his Kakching Khunyai Leikai residence.
An emergency executive council meeting of MAKKA was convened today to mourn Norendro's demise with senior vice president of MAKKA Okram Budhi in the chair, said MAKKA in a press release.
The meeting not only recalled the contributions of the former treasurer but also observed two minute silence as a mark of respect to the late soul, it said.
MAKKA general secretary M Madhusudan, during the meeting, said that Norendro was a selfless person and highly praised his works towards the promotion of sports and preservation of State rich culture, it said.
The meeting also shared sympathy with the bereaved family members, the release continued.
