Showroom fired at; staffs protest

IMPHAL, Nov 21: Tiddim Motors, a showroom of Tata Motors located at Airport Road, Kwakeithel was fired at and damaged by some unidentified persons in the wee hours on Wednesday.
According to information culled from the spot, some unidentified persons fired a few rounds of shot at the showroom at around 2 pm on November 20.
The showroom is located some feet away from the highway.
While cars are kept inside a glass showroom, the outer perimeter is fenced by a steel grill.
A bullet passed through the rear glass window of an Altroz I-Turbo+ while another bullet was found embedded inside the right headrest of a Curvv EV after passing through the rear window glass.
Bullet marks were also seen on other parts of the showroom.
Taking strong exception to the attack, the showroom’s staff staged a protest demonstration in front of the showroom today.
Senior sales manager of the showroom, Irengbam Chittaranjan Meitei said that Tiddim Motors has no grudge with any organisation or individual.
If any organisation or individual has anything to say to Tiddim Motors, they may contact the general manager or the HR manager, he said.
He also appealed to all concerned not to ever repeat such attacks.
