IMPHAL, Nov 21: The  International Meetei Christian Youth Assembly (IMCYA) has written to the All Manipur Christian Organization (AMCO) to delist Kuki-Zo Christians from the list of AMCO and declare they are not Christian for their anti-Christian and barbaric activities.
In representation addressed to the AMCO president, IMCYA pointed out that it was on November 11, 2024, six innocent persons namely; Yurembam  Rani (60), Talem Thoibi Devi (31), Talem Thajamanbi d/o Talem Thoibi Devi, Laishram Heitombi (25), Laishram Chingkheinganba (2.5 years) s/o Laishram Heitombi and Laishram Lamnganba (8 months) s/o Laishram Heitombi were abducted by Kuki-Zo Christians from Borobekra, Jiribam.
The IMCYA requested the kidnappers, particularly Kuki-Zo Christians for releasing the innocent women and small children. But instead of releasing the innocent hostages, the Kuki-Zo kidnappers tortured the innocent women and children severely without mercy and killed them brutally.
Yet, the Kuki-Zo community presents itself as Christians in the State, it said.
This was not the first time Kuki-Zo Christians attacked and killed people in Manipur.
At present, farmers are not able to harvest their crops properly and children are afraid to attend schools because of drone bombings and rockets by Kuki-Zo Christians, it pointed out.
As a result, Christians in Manipur are perceived a an inhuman, murderer, irreligious, cruel and barbarous group, the IMCYA said before vehemently condemning such vicious actions carried out by Kuki-Zo Christians in Manipur.
Kuki-Zo Christians have spoiled the name of Christ, the Saviour and all the Christians in Manipur due to their anti-Christ actions and movements, it said.
It is truly unfortunate they even pronounced consistently Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Amen, Amen after burning houses, opening fire and killing innocent people in Manipur.
They (Kuki-Zo) have blasphemed the name of Jesus Christ in the State, it said.
The IMCYA then urged AMCO to take immediate action for protection of Christian communities, missions and ministries of Churches.
