AKRUCO submits memorandum to Governor

IMPHAL, Nov 21 : The All Kongba Road United Clubs' Organisation (AKRUCO) has submitted a memorandum to Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya urging him to take immediate action to find a sustainable solution for the prolonged conflict and restore peace in Manipur.
In the memorandum submitted on November 18, 2024, AKRUCO highlighted the recent abduction & cold blooded murder of six women and children in Jiribam which sent shockwaves across the State.
AKRUCO said that the Manipuris particularly the Meiteis were deeply shocked by the gruesome murder of six innocent women and children including an 8-months-old infant who were kidnapped by the so called "Village Volunteer Force of Chin-Kuki-Zo narco terrorists" on November 11, 2024.
The six who were abducted and killed by Kuki militants are Yumlembam Rani Devi (60), Telem Thoibi Devi (31) and her daughter Telem Thajamanbi (8), Laishram Heitonbi Devi (25), her son Laishram Chingkheinganba (2), and her youngest child, Laishram Langamba (8 months).
"The 6 persons are the kinship of Laishram Herojit of Wangkhei Thambalkhong, Imphal East", it added.
AKRUCO asserted that the brutal, cold blooded and merciless murder of these six innocents Meiteis is one of the most extreme barbaric act of the Chin- Kuki-Zo narco terrorists and has no place in the soil of this country the land of Lord Rama, Lord Krishna and Mahatma Gandhi who was the preacher of non violence in the world.
AKRUCO also shared that it organised a protest "Torch Rally" on November 17, 2024 condemning the barbaric acts of the Chin-Kuki-Zo narco terrorist and held a meeting at Kongba Keithel, Imphal East. AKRUCO also highlighted the two main resolutions adopted in the meeting- "Declare the Chin-Kuki-Zo militants and their frontal organisation as Terrorist and take appropriate legal action; and remove the re-imposition of AFSPA under the jurisdiction of the 6 Police Station namely Lamlai, Sekmai, Leímakhong, Lamshang, Jiribam and Moirang".
Furthermore, AKRUCO appealed to the Governor to take immediate necessary action in this regard for a sustainable solution and peace in India in general and Manipur State in particular.
