IMPHAL, Nov 19 : Wangoi AC MLA Kh Loken has said that he may join the people in confronting the common foe who are hostile towards Meiteis if the situation demands.
The MLA, in a message, said that Kuki narco terrorists have been carrying out a violent campaign against the Meeteis since May 3 last year.
He further said that the most painful and distressing atrocity was the killing of three women and three children including an infant in the most brutal manner after they were abducted by Kuki narco terrorists.
Saying that the response of the Centre and the State Government to the crisis in Manipur is not satisfying, the MLA added that NPP had already withdrawn its support to the BJP led Government.
The decision taken by NPP president Conrad K Sangma was in the interest of the people of Manipur, the MLA said and added that he, however, will never pass over the responsibility entrusted on him though NPP has walked away from the coalition Government in Manipur.
Continuing that aggrieved people have been mounting pressure on him to state his position given the fresh spate of violence besetting the State, Loken said that he surely will announce his position.
He said that he will also endorse resolutions taken by all MLAs in the greater interest of the State and her people.
