Manipur finish with 7 medals at 68th National School Games U-14 Archery

IMPHAL, Nov 20 : Manipur secured 7 medals including two gold medals at the 68th National School Games Archery for U-14 boys and girls hosted by Gujarat in Nadiad from November 19 to 20.
Soibam Lingjel Thoibi produced an outstanding performance at the competition clinching Manipur two medals including a gold and a silver. Lingjel Thoibi bagged a silver medal in the Indian Round in the 20 m Indian round competition and finished overall first with 676 points to win the gold medal.
Zeous Leishangthem and Hidangmayum Binison Sharma also won individual silver medals in the 60 m and 50 m recurve competitions with 332 and 342 points respectively and won together a team gold medal alongwith Lamyanba Soibam and Ajay Yumnam with 3951 points.
The other silver medal was added by the compound boys team comprising Shagolshem Manithoi, Chanam Malemnganba Meitei, Mutum Lanngamba and Yumnam Lanthoiba who shot 1998 points together.
The only bronze medal meanwhile was bagged by the girls' recurve team comprising Yumnam Sanamanbi Chanu, Yaikhombi Thongam, Tanouhenbi Khundrakpam and Ph Jelly Devi who amassed 3699 points together.
