VCs call on Governor

Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya discussed the implementation and status of the New Education Policy (NEP) with Vice Chancellors (VCs) and Registrars of State and Central Universities at Raj Bhavan today.
PRO Raj Bhavan said, Vice Chancellor of Manipur University, N Lokendra Singh, Vice Chancellor of Dhanamanjuri University and Manipur Technical University, H Gyan Prakash and Vice Chancellor of Manipur University of Culture, Paonam Gunindro Singh were present in the meeting.
During the meeting, the Governor enquired about the issues pertaining to the strength of teaching and non-teaching staff and other developmental issues in the varsities.
The VCs presented the status of NEP implementation in their Universities and highlighted various issues the institutes are facing.
The Governor assured the VCs support from Raj Bhavan.
