IMPHAL, Nov 1 : A group of aspirants of Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive Examination (MCSCCE) has urged the Government to change the dates fixed to hold the Mains of the examination so that the aspirants can get more time to prepare.
Speaking to the media at Manipur Press Club today, Suresh Mutum, an aspirant, said that the Manipur Public Service Commission (MPSC) issued a notice to hold the Mains from November 17 to 19.
Saying that the aspirants won't have enough time to prepare for the Mains if the examination is conducted on the dates fixed, he added that 45 to 60 days are normally given to the aspirants to prepare while issuing a notice to hold Mains of any civil service examination.
Suresh continued that the Mains examination of Indian Forest Service will also be held from November 24 to 26 and the aspirants from the State will take the examination outside Manipur as no centre is given in the State.
Stating that the aspirants will go to other States on flights as the land route is not safe for them to travel, he added that flight tickets are expensive now.
Holding the Mains of MCSCCE 2022 at the moment will also be disadvantageous to the aspi- rants who are in relief camps, he said.
The Mains examination will be conducted with new syllabus and code from this year onwards, Suresh said while appealing to the Government to give the aspirants at least 45 to 60 days to prepare for the examination.
