MU Inter College Shooting L Pinku, Ng Sonia of SSGG College top women's events

IMPHAL, Nov 14 : Shree Shree Gourgobind Girls' College produced top performances in the Manipur University Inter College Shooting Tournament hosted by TS Paul Manipur Women's College at Khuman Lampak Shooting Range, Imphal.
SSGG College topped women's 10 m pistol event by shooting 335 points off 400 as Yaisana Thokchom of SIMPS shot 308 points to settle for the runner up spot and Chonson Soibam of Ng Mani College finished third with 284 points.
Ngasepam Sonia of SSGG College then topscored with 375 points in the 10 air rifle competition  as Ningombam Lemthoibi of Manipur University and Malemnganbi Thoudam of hosts TS Paul Manipur Women's College gathered 194 and 131 points respectively to seal the second and third places.
Meanwhile in the men's 10 air rifle competition, Davidson Khumbongmayum of Kamakhya Pemton College registered 395 points to seal the top honour as Lourembam Rakesh of Manipur University finished second on 185 points and Irungbam Berlin of Manipur University secured 154 points to finish third.
Meanwhile in the men's 10 m air pistol competition, Shona Naorem of Biramangol College shot highest 337 points off 400 total points to finish on top while Laishram Aniljit of Kamakhya Pemton College shot 302 points (including 24 points penalty) to finish runner up and Y Umakanta of Manipur University settled for the third place on 241 points off total 400 points.
