IMPHAL, Nov 14 : The Manipur State Council of CPI (CPI-MSC) has asserted that the reimposition of AFSPA in six new areas of Manipur is a revelation of the fascist ideals of the BJP.
CPI-MSC, in a statement, said that AFSPA was removed from several areas under the jurisdiction of 19 police stations following a widespread movement by the people.
Reiterating that reimposition of AFSPA by the Ministry of Home Affairs is nothing but revelation of the fascist ideals of the BJP, the Left party said that the Centre reimposing the legislation at six new areas which gives sweeping power to the security power is unacceptable to them.
