Neighbour, 64, sent to judicial custody for peeping, taking pictures of girl, mother bathing

IMPHAL, Nov 13: One 64 years old man has been sent to judicial custody after he was caught red handed while taking videos and photos of a girl taking a bath inside the bathroom.
The accused was produced before the Court of Special Judge, POCSO, Imphal West by a team of women police station after completion of police custody period along with a prayer for judicial custody remand.
During the hearing, the Special PP submitted that a written complaint was lodged on November 8 at the women police station by the victim’s mother stating her neighbour recorded videos and pictures of her minor daughter taking bath inside the bathroom from a hole.
The incident happened on November 7 morning.
The 64-year-old was caught red handed and his mobile phone was seized.
On checking his mobile phone, they also found naked photos of the mother which were taken stealthily.
During interrogation in police custody, the accused admitted to have committed the charges levelled against him and revealed that he used to watch the minor victim and her mother through a hole made on the tin fence between their houses, and stealthily capture videos and images.
The accused also revealed that he stealthily captured the video of the victim girl while she was about to undress inside her bathroom through the gap between the wall and roof of the bathroom by climbing a chicken coop.
The Court, after hearing the submission of the Special PP and on perusal of the materials on record, remanded the accused to judicial custody till November 26.
