Governor's Cup Boxing Championship S Jackyson vs Kh Mangal in junior boys' 54 kg title clash

IMPHAL, Nov 9 : Sagolshem Jackyson of SRBA-B will face off against Khangchrakpam Mangal of SRBA-A in the junior boys' 54 kg category title clash in the ongoing 2nd Governor's Cup Boxing Championships.
Jackyson reached the final today by defeating Md Abdul Noor of UYDC in the first semi-final match before Mangal outlasted MKBA-A's Laishram Lanthoiba in another semi-final bout.
 In the junior boys 52 kg category semi-final bouts staged today, Thoumujam Paikhomba of MKBA-A defeated SRBA-A's Chirom Wangthoi and Khomdram Nongsaba defeated Ankit Koirala of STC-Utlou.
In the 50 kg category semi-final matches, Ningthoujam Akaba of NSA-A defeated PKBA's T Chingkheinganba before SRBA-A's Thongram Manithoiba defeated Sairem Roshan of UYDC.
Chingrihor Shatshang of MKBA-A and Lairenlakpam Ambekar of NSA-A also earned semi-final walkover wins in the junior boys' 48 kg category competition to seal their final tickets as Laishangbam Uningba of MKBA-A defeated L Jackson of STC Utlou in a 46 kg category semi-final bout.
School Age Boys
Laishram Jackson of STC-Utlou will play Naorem Fajaba of NSA-A in the school age boys' 40 kg final bout.
Jackson defeated UBA's S Bicky as Fajaba defeated NSA-B's Ronald Keisham in the semi-final bouts to secure their final tickets today.
Shagolsem Manimatum of MSBA and Pebam Joyhenba of NSA-A also emerged victorious in school age boys' 43 kg category semi-final bouts as Surtajit Phanjouba of NSA-B and Gurumayum Maiken of PBA secured 46 kg category semi-final wins.
PBA's Gurumayum Jackson and Moibungkhongbam Lanchenba of MKBA-A also won their semi-final bouts in the 49 kg category competition while Gershom Awungshi of MKBA-A and PBA's Thongam Jackson sealed semi-final victories in 52 kg category competition.
Later in the day, Nelson Khwairakpam of NSA-A defeated Pangambam Netrajit of NSA-B in a 55 kg semi-final bout to set up final date with Karung Albertson Kom of MKBA-A who outlasted Kharibam Leishemba of MKBA-B in another  semi-final clash.
Mayengbam Raj of MKBA-A and Kh Lanchenba of NSA-A also sealed semi-final victories in 58 kg category competition as NSA-A's Sandham Victory defeated Andrew Yumnam of UBA to seal a 61 kg category final ticket.
School Age girls
The day also saw Naorem Artina of SRBA-A defeat Elangbam Milky of PKBA to seal a place in the school age girls' 61 kg category final as Thokchom Prity of SRBA-A and Y umnam Kenita of NSA-A emerged victorious in 55 kg category semi-final bouts.
SRBA-A's Thongbam Phabisana and Chanambam Langlen of SRBA-B also emerged victorious in 43 kg category competitions as Konthoujam Diviyabatti of SRBA-A and Naorem Suma of UYDC sealed 46 kg category final tickets; Sarangthem Linthoi of SRBA-A and Huidrom Luxmi of MKBA-A secure 49 kg semi-final victories and Lairenjam Sujen and Mandengbam Priyaluxmi of SRBA-A secured 52 kg category final tickets.
