Manipur Armwrestling Association lines up district championships ahead of State Championship

The Manipur Armwrestling Association has lined up four major district championships starting from October 26 as decided in an extended executive committee meeting held at the office at Educational Guide Centre (EGC) yesterday.
As per the press release issued by the association, the executive committee meet decided to hold the Bishnupur District Championship from October 26 to 27 at Moirang Ngangkha Leima Youth Development Organisation (NYDO) hall, Moirang before conducting the Imphal East District Championship from November 8 to 9 at UYO hall, Singjamei Thongkhong.
The committee further decided to host the Thoubal and Kakching District Championship from November 16 to 17 at Khongjom and the Imphal West District Championship from November 23 to 24 at TYC hall, Sega Road.
Athletes who did not take part in the district championships will not be allowed to participate in the State Championship slated to be held from December 12 to 15, the association said.
In view of the said championships, a referee clinic will be conducted on October 12 from 12.30 pm to 2.30 pm at EGC Complex in Singjamei, it said while informing both the new and old referees who will be conducting the championships to attend the clinic without fail.
Referees who did not attend the said referee clinic will not be allowed to conduct any tournament, it said while adding that registration fee for the clinic is Rs 200.
