PREPAK celebrates raising day

IMPHAL, Oct 9 : Together with all the indigenous communities and people from both the hills and plain, the proscribed PREPAK celebrated its 47th raising day today.
The 47th raising day was celebrated at the party’s central headquarters, general headquarters, 707 mobile battalion, base area-1, CNA, base area-2, ELAND, base area-3, BDESH, base area-4, NPL, training centre, mobile battalion-1, mobile battalion-02 and different other locations.
The raising day celebration at the party’s central headquarters was graced by the party’s interim council Chairman Aheiba Angom, charge d’ affairs, publicity and propaganda LeibaakNgaakpa as chief guest and president respectively.
The interim council Chairman opened the function by lighting the ceremonial lamp and hoisting the party’s flag, conveyed a press release issued by the outfit’s department of publicity and propaganda, publicity officer Mangal Khuman.
Speaking on the occasion, the interim council Chairman recounted the genesis of PREPAK.
He said that the alleged annexation of Kangleipak by India turned Kangleipak into a battlefield and a graveyard for many people of Kangleipak as well as Indian military personnel.
He said that the alleged annexation led to the downfall of Kangleipak in all aspects.
The outfit has also conveyed gratitude to all fraternal organisations of WESEA and Kangleipak for extending greetings on the 47th raising day of PREPAK.
It further conveyed gratitude to all the people from both the hills and plain as well as the media fraternity for making the raising day celebration a success.
