Windsor from MG Motor comes to town

IMPHAL, Oct 9 : Record breaking electric vehicle, Windsor of MG Motor (Morris Garages) has been launched at Imphal today.
Imphal East Deputy Commissioner Khumanthem Diana launched the vehicle at the MG Motor showroom at Imphal Mantripukhri, opposite 69 Bn CRPF camp.
Nongmaithem Sadananda, Senior Relationship Manager of MG Motor Imphal, said the Windsor comes in three variants starting at Rs 13.5 lakh for the entry level Excite variant, going up to Rs 15.5 lakh for the Essence variant.
Windsor, the MG Motor's recently launched latest electric vehicle (EV) has broken a new record in India by garnering over 15,000 bookings in the first 24 hours of its launch.
The milestone marks the highest single-day bookings for a newly launched EV in the country.

MG offers a unique 'Battery as a Service' (BaaS) scheme wherein the cost of the battery is not included in the car's price.
Buyers can pay just R 9.99 lakh tor the Excite variant and get a battery on rent at the rate of Rs 3.5 per kilometre.
The Windsor comes with a 38KWh battery pack offering a claimed range of 331 Km on a single charge. MG says the battery pack can be fast-charged in just 40 minutes.
It is powered by a front axle-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor that produces 136hp and 200Nm.
The features on offer include a massive 25.6 inch touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster, a panoramic glass roof, 18-inch alloy wheels, full-ED lighting, 135-degree reclining rear seat, a 360-degree camera, ambient lighting, powered driver's seat, ventilated front seats, and more.
