WPC win 3-0 as 4th Ph Irabot Memorial 1st Divn Football League kickstarts

IMPHAL, Oct 4 : WPC, Wangoo pulled off a comfortable 3-0 win against YSUC, Phubala in the opening match of the 4th Ph Irabot Singh Memorial 1st Division District Football League organised  by the District Football Association kicked off today at Wangoo Ahallup playground, Wangoo.
The inaugural programme of the 5-team tournament was attended by Thongam Shanti, MLA Moirang AC; Sanasam Premchandra, MLA Kumbi AC; Tongbram Robindro, MLA Thanga AC; Lourembam Bikram Singh, DC Bishnupur and Kshetrimayum Ravikumar Singh, SP Bishnupur as presidium members.
WPC started confidently and were 2-0 ahead before the break thanks to goals from Y Dayananda (26') and L Gouro (35') before S Jack netted the team's third and decisive goal in the 52nd minute.
UYT, Thamnapokpi will play KNK, Keibul in the next match tomorrow.
