Manipur films in syllabus

IMPHAL, Oct 4 : A subject on Manipuri films has been included in the syllabus of BA Manipuri Course of Rabindranath Tagore University, Hojai which is a public State University located at Hojai in Assam, established through the Rabindranath Tagore University Act of 2017 passed by the State Legislature of Assam in 2017.
The subject in three units, carrying 80 marks, will be taught in 20 sessions in the fifth semester of BA Manipuri Honours course in the University from 2024-25.
The three units are -Status of Manipuri Film, Manipuri Documentary and Short Films, and Matamgi Manipur and Sanabi.
