MU Inter College Men's Football Kha Manipur College vs Kakching Khunou College in final

IMPHAL, Oct 30 : Hosts Kha Manipur College will lock horns with Kakching Khunou College in the title clash of the A Pratap Singh Memorial Manipur University Inter College Men's Football Tournament 2024-25.
Kha Manipur College booked their place in the final with a 4-2 penalty shoot-out win against Naorem Birahari (NB) College in the first semi-final match staged this afternoon before Kakching Khunou College edged out Kamakhya Pemton College 4-2 on penalties after a 1-1 regulation time draw in the second semi-final match.
It was a tight contest between Kha Manipur College and NB College in the first semi-final match. With the attacking third in both the ends failing to make the most of their chances in the regulation time, the game was decided by penalty shoot-out where Samir, Sunesh, Tolstoy and Romen beat the NB College custodian to give Kha Manipur College a 4-2 win.
Only O Ranjan and M David were able to convert for NB College.
Later in the second semi-final match, Kamakhya Pemton and Kakching Khunou College were evenly matched throughout the game and settled the regulation time in a 1-1 draw with early goals in the first half.
Kamakhya Pemton College were first to strike and take lead after 5 minutes through Bunando but Kakching Khunou College restored parity within three minutes riding on Birendrakumar.
As neither side managed to find the winner in the remainder of the game, the winners were decided by penalty shoot-out where Kakching Khunou emerged 4-2 winners. Only Yaiphaba and Bunanda found the target for the Hiyangthang college as H Thoungamba, S Wilbert, Kh Abungcha and H Tombi made no mistake in converting their chances for Kakching Khunou College.
