3-wheeler electric passenger vehicle launched

IMPHAL, Oct 30 : Bajaj Auto Limited has launched Bajaj RE E-Tec 9.0, a passenger electric three-wheeler with a battery capacity of 8.9 KWh at Mantripukhri today.
The electric passenger vehicle was launched by Assistant Manager of Punjab National Bank (PNB) Circle Office, Imphal Manasij Chakrabarti during a simple function held at the showroom of Manipur Motors at Mantripukhri.
At the function, Sales Manager of Manipur Motors Ningthoujam Sushanta Singh said that the seating capacity of Bajaj RE E-TEC 9.0 is four including the driver.
He said that the auto rickshaw comes in three-four models but only one variety in blue colour is available in Manipur for now.
Saying that the price of the electric auto rickshaw is Rs 4,20,000 (approx) without subsidy and Rs 3,78,000 (approx) with subsidy, he added that battery capacity of the vehicle is  8.9 kWh.
Further stating that the vehicle comes with a five year warranty or 1.2 lakh Kms mileage (standard warranty), he added that the battery of the electric vehicle will be replaced if it becomes defective during the warranty period.
The vehicle can travel upto 178 Km when fully charged, he said and added that fully charging the vehicle will take about four and a half hours.
PNB is also giving a loan facility to buy the electric passenger vehicle, he added.
HC Jain, General Manager of Manipur Motors; Kundan Kumar, Deputy Circle Head of PNB, Circle Office Imphal and Khayaongam AC, Branch Manager of New India Assurance Imphal also attended the function among others.
