MOA announces cycling team for National Track Cycling Championships

IMPHAL, Oct 29 : The Manipur Olympic Association has announced the names of State Cycling team who will be participating in the 76th Senior, 53rd Junior and 39th Sub-Junior National Track Cycling Championships due to be held from November 15 to 19 at Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
The players who will represent Manipur at the National Championships are:-
Elite Men : Khwairakpam Rahul, Athokpam Bike, Elangbam Lanchenba and Salam Sanathoi.
Elite Women : Sarangthem Bidyarani Devi, Yurembam Gitu and Yumnam Thaja.
Junior Boys (U-18) : Daya Keisham, Konthoujam Lan-chenba, Thounaojam Gya- nanta, Sarungbam Athouba, T Bipil, W Bidyananda and M Wattaba.
Junior Girls (U-18) : Huirongbam Thajamanbi Chanu and Konthoujam Benika Chanu.
Sub-Junior Boys (U-16) : Huidrom Suraj, Yumnam Sushil, Laishram Prem, Heikrujam Lamjingba, Narengbam Max and Poireinganba Chanambam.
Sub-Junior Girls (U-16) : Achom Tanibala, Laishram Sana and Tarunkumari Thokchom.
Youth Boys (U-14) : Wahengbam Thoihenba, Chungkham Mangalmission, Yanglem Jinku and Poireinganba Chanambam.
Youth Girls (U-14) : Usham Sandhya, Saikhom Florence, Victoriya Huirem and Thoudam Khristina.
Meanwhile, Keisham Basanta Singh has been appointed as the team manager alongside Oinam Basanta (SAI) and Okram Janata Devi (PET, YAS) as coaches; Usham Ashok (SAI) and Yumnam Meghachandra (SAI) as technicians.
The selected cyclists should report to the team officials at Cycle Velodrome, Khuman Lampak from October 30 onwards for further coaching, said MOA in a press release.
