MU men's team reach AIU East Zone Inter University Tennis final

IMPHAL, Oct 29 : Manipur University (MU) men's tennis team will face off against defending champions and hosts KIIT, Bhubaneswar for the title of the AIU East Zone Inter University Tennis Tournament 2024.
MU men's team comprising Bhicky Sagolshem and Bushan Haobam continued their fine form to secure a 2-0 semi-final victory against Jadavpur University today to set up the final date with the hosts.
Bhicky opened MU's lead in the semi-final as he prevailed 6-0, 6-0 against Biprarshi Biswas in the opening singles match before Bushan eased to a 6-1, 6-1 win over Rounak Ghosh in the following match to seal the 2-0 win.
KIIT University, meanwhile booked their place in the final with a 2-0 win over Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University in the semi-final.
MU reached the semi-final yesterday after registering a 2-0 win over  Centurion University in the pre-quarterfinal and a similar 2-0 win over MG Kashi Vidyapith in the quarterfinal.
