H Malemyaima wins gold at Rowing Nationals

IMPHAL, Oct 26 : Huidrom Malemyaima won a gold as Manipur amassed two medals at the b25th Sub-Junior National Rowing Championship being underway at Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh.
Malemyaima bagged the gold medal in the junior girls' 500 m single scull competition. She took 2 minutes and 1.40 seconds to finish on top in the competition.
Meanwhile, RK Bidyajit and Tongbram Ranbir settled for a silver medal in the boys' 500 m doubles scull event. The State pair took 1 minute and 44.20 seconds to finish second in the competition.
