Koireng-led UNLF salutes

IMPHAL, Oct 25 : The Koireng-led UNLF and its armed wing MPA have offered revolutionary salute to the three revolutionary fighters who were killed in an unfortunate incident on October 23.
A press release issued by the outfit’s Secretary of Publicity M Shak-Hen said that RPF/PLA’s Captain Oinam Gulu alias Babu s/o Oinam Kunjo & Oinam (O) Pishak of Jiribam Kadamtala, PREPAK (Pro)’s Captain Wahengbam Sopaiba alias Saratkumar s/ W Deba & W (Ongbi) Memcha of Hiyanglam Awang Leikai and L/Cpl Nongmaithem Nongdon alias Bonysana s/o N Raju & N (Ongbi) Sangita of Wangkhei Angom Leikai were distinguished revolutionary fighters who fought valiantly to restore the sovereignty of Manipur and consolidate the State’s integrity.
The three revolutionary fighters were killed in a fierce gun battle fought between the combined team of a several revolutionary groups of Manipur and a combined force of Indian military forces and an armed group patronized by them (Indian armed forces), it said.
The contributions of the three martyrs who had firm belief in the armed struggle and the unity of the revolutionary groups to the liberation struggle of Manipur will be remembered forever, the outfit remarked.
“The demise of the three revolutionary fighters is a huge loss for all of us who are waging a war of liberation”, it said.
It also conveyed solidarity to all the bereaved revolutionary organisations, friends and friends.
The outfit also prayed that the three departed souls may rest in eternal peace.
