Police ink MoU with SBI

IMPHAL, Oct 24 :  Manipur Police have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with State Bank of India for the welfare of police personnel. Initially around 18,000 Police personnel who are holding SBI accounts will benefit from the deal.
The rates and amounts offered by the banks, though it differs, include coverage like personal accidental death, air accidental death, unlimited ATM transaction, personal & home loan and many more.
Police personnel who die while on  duty will get Rs 85 lakh while those who meet with permanent disability and partial disability will get Rs 74 lakh and Rs 55 lakh respectively as per the agreement Accident coverage insurance, on the other hand, is Rs 75 lakh.
