Medical camp organised

IMPHAL, Oct 21 : To commemorate the 85th birth anniversary of Prof Gangmumei Kamei, the Gangmumei Kamei Foundation in association with Majorkhul Young Association (MYA) organised a "One Day Free Health Check-up cum Awareness Programme" at Majorkhul Community Hall today.
During the programme, a medical team including 10 specialist doctors and nurses from RIMS, JNIMS and other hospitals provided free health examination & consultations to the public.
Free medicines were also distributed to the patients.
Doctors and experts also gave awareness about health related issues to the public.
Gangmumei Kamei Foundation trustee, Shom Kamei was also present at the programme.
Moreover, Coalition Against Drugs and Alcohol (CADA), Khongman Ima Panthoibi VLF and Thongju Apunba Apunba Women's Multipurpose Co-operative Society Ltd jointly organised a "One Day Drug Awareness Programme" at Khongman Zone IV/V Community Hall today.
The programme was promoted by Manipur State Rural Livelihood Mission (MSRLM), Department of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Government of Manipur.
It was attended by CADA HO vice president, Ningthoujam Dori; Khongman Ima Panthoibi VLF president, Laishram Sorojini; and Miyamgee Chaokhat Nupi Lup Khongman president, Puyam Leibakleima as presidium members. CADA HO secretary general Geetchandra Mangang also attended the programme as a resource person.
