IMPHAL, Oct 20 : In connection with the 67th birth anniversary celebration of Irengbam Chaoren, the Irengbam Chaoren Memorial Trust organised a State Level Essay Writing Competition for students at Ratankumar Memorial English School and Pitambara English School in Kwakeithel today.
The competition was conducted in two categories-A for Class VIII to X and B for Class XI upto University level on the topic, "Responsibility of the Indigenous Peoples to Preserve the Integrity of Manipur".
More than 2000 students participated in the competition which was held at Ratankumar Memorial English School for Category A and Pitambara English School for Category B.
Prizes will be distributed to the winners of the competition during the 67th birth anniversary celebration of Irengbam Chaoren scheduled to be held at the auditorium of Manipur University, Canchipur on November 2.
