IMPHAL, Oct 2: The All Manipur Teli Association has strongly condemned the unfortunate abduction of three youths on September 27, 2024, while they were on their way to participate in the Staff Selection Commission GD recruitment test at New Keithelmanbi.
"While one of the youths has been released, we are deeply concerned about the safety and well-being of the remaining two who are still in captivity", said All Manipur Teli Association in a release.
The association appealed to all the individuals responsible for the abduction to release the two youths unharmed, allowing them to return to their families.
"Such acts are deeply uncalled for and go against the spirit of peace and unity that our society strives to uphold", it added.
The association also urged the State and Central Governments to take all necessary measures to ensure the safe and swift release of the two youths.
"It is imperative that the authorities work diligently to bring an end to such incidents, which undermine the peace and progress of Manipur. In these trying times, we stand in solidarity with the families of the victims and extend our support to all efforts aimed at securing the safe return of their loved ones", said All Manipur Teli Association.
