UVFA mourns demise of Abdul Kalam

IMPHAL, Oct 1 : The United Veteran Football Association (UVFA), Manipur has condoled the sudden demise of its member Md Abdul Kalam at his residence at Yairipok Tulihal Awang Leikai on September 27.
An executive committee meeting of the association was convened on September 30 at the association office at Mapal Kangjeibung wherein members pay respect to the late soul by observing two minute silence, UVFA said in a condolence note.
The members also prayed for his soul to rest in peace and shared the pain of the bereaved family members.
Md Abdul Kalam was a football enthusiast and the vice president of the association when he died. His departure has created a void hard to fill, it said.
He was 64 years old and is survived by his wife, two sons and four daughters, it added.
