Thoubal 1st Divn Football league resumes

IMPHAL, Oct 18 : PALYC, SOCDEC registered contrasting wins as L Chandrakishwor Singh Memorial 1st Division Football league organised by DFA Thoubal resumed today at Kodompokpi Sports Complex, Wangjing.
In the 12th match of the tournament, Md Ashif scored twice to hand PALYC a 4-1 win over UMFC.
Md Shahidur opened the scoring for PALYC in the 8th minute before UMFC fought back and scored the equaliser through Kh Anush in the 27th minute.
PALYC however regained the lead through Md Ashif in the 37th minute who also completed his double two minutes later. Md Samir Khan then hit the decisive goal in the 43rd minute.
Later in the 13th match, SOCDEC beat SLYO 1-0 thanks to an own goal conceded by Kh Oken of SLYO in the 26th minute.
