State Archery Championships KMAC seal 7 medals in Junior Indian Round events

IMPHAL, Oct 18 : KMAC amassed as many as 7 medals including 4 gold medals today in the Junior Men and Women's Indian Round competitions of the ongoing State Archery Championships.
M Baby opened KMAC's gold medal account by topping the individual women's competition in a close fight with L compatriot Rojina. Both the archers shot 5 points but M Baby was more close to the center and eventually finished on top.
NSA's Th Suprina finished third in the competition to win the bronze medal.
Shilheiba Leitanthem of LMLCC meanwhile bagged the junior men's gold medal by beating compatriot Y Bishan 6-2 in the final as Khomdram Rabichandra of YAC finished third to secure the bronze medal.
L Rojina bagged KMAC's second gold medal by securing 673 points in the 40+40 m Indian Round competition as M Baby settled for the silver medal with 659 points. Millenia Thokchom of the same unit also picked the bronze medal with 649 points.
In the men's Indian Round 40m +40 m event, LMLCC swept all three medals as Shilheiba Leitanthem, S Jenibash and Y Bishan shot 689, 677 and 669 points respectively.
KMAC also bagged both the women's and men's Indian Round team gold medals.
L Rojina, M Baby, Millennia Thokchom and T Kelvina of KMAC won the gold defeating the NSA team 6-0 as AAC team bagged the bronze medal.
KMAC team of Y Jackson, M Bikash, Ch Bison and M Tomba defeated LMLCC team of Shilheiba S Jenibash, Y Bishan and H Hemjit 29-28 in the shoot-off to win the gold  after the two sides were tied at 4-4.
NSA team bagged the bronze medal in the same competition.
