AMDASCAM win in 71st Sr Men State Kabaddi C'ship opener

IMPHAL, Oct 18 : AMDASCAM, Lilong defeated ALUC, Khurai by 57-42 points in the men's opener as the 71st Senior Men and Women State Kabaddi Championships kicked off today at ALUC playground in Khurai Angom Leikai.
The men's championship is featuring 7-teams clubbed into two groups. Hosts ALUC, AMDASCAM, and WSWC, Wabagai are clustered in Group A while MYC, Heirok; YSC, Naorem; VETO, Laphupat Tera and HYO, Heirok are drawn in Group B.
Top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals.
The senior women's championship is featuring 4 teams including VETO; SK Women's College, Nambol; MUC, Moirangkampu; and CARD, Wabagai who will be competing in the super league format. Top two teams will vie for the title of the championship.
