Jiribam HSS locked

JIRIBAM, Oct 18 : The Jiribam Higher Secondary School Students Union has locked the school in protest against the State Government's failure to plug the shortage of teachers at the school.
Speaking in this connection, Leishangthem Boby, secretary, Games & Sports, Jiribam Higher Secondary School Students Union said that the Union had submitted a memorandum to the Education Minister through the Jiribam DC on October 6 demanding appointment of the required teachers and urging transferred teachers to join the school.
A sit-in protest was also staged to this effect on October 8, he added.
However, much to the disappointment of the student community, there has been no positive feedback from the Government, he said. As a result, the Jiribam Higher Secondary School was locked today by aggrieved students.
