Bail granted

IMPHAL, Oct 18 : The Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Imphal East has granted bail to four members of Youth of Manipur (YoM) who were arrested on the charge of inciting public unrest today.
The four members of YoM identified as Lourem-bam Rambo @ Shin- thanganba (26), s/o Chandra of Langthabal Kunja Mayai Leikai; Maisnam Robinson @ Thawanjao (21), s/o Robindra of Kamom Meisnam Leikai; Tekcham Vishal @ Athoiba (24), s/o (L) Gambhir of Kwakeithel Akham Leikai and Huidrom Tomthil (36), s/o Nandakumar of Singjamei Sapam Leikai were released on execution of PR bond amounting to Rs 1 lakh each.
Four of them were arrested in connection with a press release published on local TV channels and newspapers which stated that YoM had prepared to launch a massive agitation if the Central forces continue to take the side of Kuki narco terrorists.
They were produced before the Court by Porompat police on completion of their police custody period with a prayer to send them to judicial custody.
The defence counsel, on the other hand, filed a remand objection and sought bail of the four accused.
The Court after hearing the submission of APP, defence counsel and on perusal of the material on record ordered to release the four accused on bail.
The accused, however, were directed to pay a PR bond of Rs 1 lakh and surety of the same amount.
