Grenade placed

IMPHAL, Oct 17 : Unidentified persons placed a hand grenade at the residence of Laishram Badalkumar Singh (59), former Director of Management of Information System (MIS) at Top Khongnang Makhong under Porompat police station in Imphal East, today
The grenade was detected by the family members of Badalkumar and they informed the police.
Soon after getting the information, a team of Imphal East and Porompat police rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area.
The bomb was picked up by bomb experts at around 10.30 am and later disposed of at the foothills of Awa Ching in Imphal East.
Porompat police have registered a case.
