State Archery ChampionshipsRabina, Paikhomba bag Junior recurve titles

IMPHAL, Oct 16 : L Rabina of SAIRC and Paikhomba Chongtham of BAA, Top Khongnang Makhong Imphal East topped the junior individual boys and girls' recurve event in the ongoing State Archery Championships-2024.
L Rabina beat K Sandiya of NSA 6-4 in the individual recurve final to seal the gold medal as S Melody of NSA bagged the bronze medal.
In the boys competition, Paikhomba Chongtham of BBA scored 6 to finish on top as Ng Nabadwip of UAC, Patsoi settled for the silver with 0 points. Md Amir Arshad Khan of SAIRC finished third in the competition to win the bronze medal.
L Rabina also went on to win the team recurve title along with Y Anupama, Vilennia Thokchom and S Henthoi by shooting 6 points as BAA team of M Thaja, K Abena, Jenifer Paonam and N Linthoingambi scored 2 points to win the silver medal.
NSA's S Melody, K Sandiya and L Twinkle settled for the bronze medal in the same event.
Meanwhile, K Rohit, Md Amir Arshad Khan, L Yuhenba and E Orbit of SAI bagged the boys team recurve title with 24-21 shoot-off win against BAA team of Paikhomba Chongtham, L Zeus, S Sanangamba and Nick Potsangbam after the final scoreline remained locked at 4-4. AAA team comprising Lamyanba Soibam, H Binison and Jacktor Potsangbam were able to win the bronze medal in the same event.
