Chumbang FC win 3-2 in Chandel Super Divn Football League, 1st Divn Football League begins

IMPHAL, Oct 16 : Chumbang FC defeated Hnahringkhu YC in a five goal thriller in the ADC Chandel Trophy Super Division Football League Tournament being organised by DSA Chandel at Ziontlang ground.
Ahong scored thrice (39', 49', 58') in the team's victory as St Walongam (19') and TS Warkham (35') were on target for Hnahringkhu YC today.
Ziontlang YDC, SASA, Khongjon YC win
Ziontlang YDC, SASA, Khongjon YC registered victories as the DC Chandel Trophy 1st Division Football League kicked off today at Ziontlang village ground. 7 teams clubbed into two groups are participating in this tournament.
In the Group A opener, Ziontlang YDC sealed a 3-1 win over Cheengkhu YC as Renglier scored a brace (44', 52') after Lungir netted the opening goal in the 4th minute. The lone goal for Cheengkhu YC was scored by Chana in the 38th minute.
Later in the second match, SASA edged past Liwa Khullen YC 2-1 thanks to a penalty converted by Kh Rengminthang in the 12th minute and Kh Fourthson's 13th minute strike after JV Khumringam opened the scoring for Liwa Khullen early in the second minute.
In another Group A match of the tournament, Khongjon YC posted a slender 1-0 win over Anal Khunou YC. The lone goal that settled the game was scored by Kenphasha in the 50th minute of the match.
