Biren proceeds to Delhi

IMPHAL, Oct 16: Chief Minister N Biren Singh has left Imphal today to attend a conclave of the BJP Chief Ministers in Delhi and oath taking ceremony of  Nayab Singh Saini as Haryana CM.
CM N Biren Singh left Imphal for Delhi at around 1.15 pm today.
The CM is expected to attend Nayab Singh Saini's oath taking ceremony as Haryana's Chief Minister on October 17.
The swearing-in ceremony will take place at Dussehra Ground, Sector 5, Panchkula, at 10 am.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, senior BJP leaders, Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers from NDA-ruled States are expected to attend the event.
Notably, the BJP secured a third term in the Assembly polls in Haryana. It won an absolute majority of 48 seats against the Congress' 37 in the 90-member Assembly in the State.
Notably, Chief Minister N Biren Singh's visit came a day after the MHA meeting in Delhi yesterday which was attended by several MLAs and Ministers from the Meitei, Naga and Kuki community.
During his visit to Delhi, the Chief Minister is expected to meet some senior leaders of the BJP on the sideline of the ruling party's Chief Ministers' conclave.
The Chief Minister is expected to discuss the Manipur crisis and various development programmes and projects for the State.
Whether the Chief Minister will meet the Prime Minister or the Union Home Minister personally during the visit is not known.
