Senapati,  Oct 14 : The 2nd edition of the Women's Premier League, organized by the Senapati District Olympic Association Manipur (SDOAM) and sponsored by Assam Rifles concluded on Monday in a high note, with the Range Rover FC emerging victorious in a thrilling final match against Senapati FC.
The league tournament that began on October 10 witnessed fierce competitions and unwavering sportsmanship, culminating in a nail-biting final between two formidable teams.
Sponsoring the women's league, the Assam Rifles reaffirmed its commitment to the empowerment of women through sports. Their continued support highlights the critical role that sports play in fostering unity, determination and breaking barriers for women athletes.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, the Commandant of 16 Assam Rifles expressed pride in being part of this noble initiative, stating the women's league is more than a competition as it celebrates women's resilience and potential. The commandant stated that the 16 Assam Rifles is honored to have supported the endeavor, and looks forward to witnessing even more milestones in the future.
The SDOAM also extended heartfelt gratitude to all participants, teams and supporters who made the event possible.
As the Women's Premier League continues to grow, it is becoming a beacon of hope and inspiration for aspiring women athletes, breaking stereotypes and forging a new path forward. The league’s success is a shining example of what can be achieved when communities come together to uplift and empower women through sports.

Individual prizes were also extended to Beveinai of Senapati FC (golden glove),  Monogthem Kim of Range Rover (golden boot) and Cecilia of Senapati FC (golden ball).
