State Level Volleyball TournamentTRYVC seal senior women's title, AMIMYDO take sub-junior boys' title

IMPHAL, Oct 14 : TRYVC, Ukhrul emerged senior women's champions as AMIMYDO, Mayang Imphal notched up the sub-junior boys' crown at the ongoing State Level Volleyball Tournaments.
In the title clash of the 23rd Sub-Junior Boys State Volleyball Tournament, AMIMYDO got the better of YPC, Ishok in straight sets (25-22, 25-19, 25-20) to win the top honour.
Meanwhile in the final of the 48th Senior Women's State Volleyball Tournament, TRYVC edged SDVA, Senapati 3-2 in a see-saw contest.
TRYVC lost the first and the third set but rallied back twice before emerging triumphant in the deciding set to finish the game 16-25, 25-17, 22-25, 30-28, 15-10.
Earlier in the day, SDVA reached the final with a 21-25, 25-16, 25-26, 25-20 win over MPSC before TRYVC defeated SCYC, Senjam Chirang 25-10, 25-19, 25-16 in the second semi-final match.
The day also saw completion of the final line up of the 48th Senior Men's State Volleyball Tournament as KYLSC, Kachikhul and AMIMYDO, Mayang Imphal emerged victorious in the semi-final matches staged today. The final match is slated for October 7 at pm.
KYLSC reached the final with a 25-19, 25-22, 27-29, 25-21 win over MPSC while AMIMYDO booked the final ticket with a 25-19, 25-22, 25-20 win over SCYC, Senjam Chirang in the other semi-final match.
Earlier in the quarterfinal matches, SCYC defeated AAVA, Andro in straight sets before MPSC defeated NYVA, Naorem in similar fashion; AMIMYDO defeated HVA, Heigrujam by 3-1 sets and KYLSC defeated TRYVC in straight sets.
